FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

How do I know if I need a new roof or just a repair?

A full replacement is typically needed if your roof is over 15–20 years old, has widespread shingle damage, or frequent leaks. If the issue is small and localized, like a few missing shingles or a minor leak, a repair may be enough. We offer free inspections to help you make the right call.

How long does a typical roof replacement take?

Most residential roof replacements are completed in one to two days, depending on the size and complexity of the roof. Weather and material availability can also affect timing, but we’ll keep you updated every step of the way.

Will insurance cover my roof?

It depends on the cause of the damage. Most homeowners insurance policies cover roof repairs or replacement if the damage is caused by a sudden event like hail, wind, or falling debris. Normal wear and tear or aging, however, usually isn’t covered. If you think the damage may be storm-related, we can inspect your roof, document what we find, and help you determine whether it’s worth filing a claim. We’re also happy to meet with your adjuster if needed.

What kind of roofing materials do you use?

We primarily use high-quality asphalt shingles from trusted brands, but we also install metal roofing and other materials depending on the project. We’ll walk you through the pros and cons of each based on your needs and budget.

Will there be a mess during or after the job?

Roofing is messy by nature, but we take cleanup seriously. Our crew uses tarps, magnet rollers, and other tools to protect your property and leave your yard as clean—or cleaner—than we found it.

Are you licensed and insured?

Yes, Intrepid Roofing is fully licensed and insured in North Carolina. We carry both liability and workers' comp insurance for your protection and peace of mind.
